The Compendium

Studio Policies

To protect your lash integrity and ensure an exceptional experience for every guest, we operate under a strict set of studio guidelines.

Booking & Arrival

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel an appointment without charge if you give us at least twenty four (24) hours prior notice of the cancellation. Text and email reminders are sent out 24, 28 and 72 hours before your appointment. We understand that emergencies come up, but we cannot allow any exceptions. Please cancel or reschedule your appointment via WhatsApp.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive after the 15-minute mark your appointment will be cancelled under 24 hours and you will be charged the entire cost of the service. Alternatively we will try to administer the service if time allows.

No Show

Please be courteous and notify us if you cannot make your appointment. Full payment of service will be charged and needs to be paid via Eft. If you do not attend your appointment without prior communication, the scheduling system will automatically block the guest and the full payments are made.

Saturday Reservations

All appointments for Saturdays are booked well in advance and because the schedule hours are limited, a full cancellation fee applies if appointments are cancelled on the day/morning.

Parking

Parking is available in front of the location, in the driveway and up the road. Please refrain from parking in front of the corner stop street.

Payment

We have card facilities available and we do accept cash, EFT's, FNB Geo Payments.

Studio Etiquette

Come With Clean Lashes

EXTENSIONS WILL NOT ADHERE TO DIRTY LASHES. They will end up falling off the very next day. Or they will fall right back off as we're applying them and will make your fill impossible. Please clean off all oils and makeup from these areas: top and bottom of lash line, eyelid, under eyes and temples. Makeup elsewhere is just fine. We do provide lash shampoos to ensure a clean application. Waterproof makeup or gel liners are harder to remove and can take away from the lashing time.

No Excessive Talking

Bring your own headphones. Talking creates small movements, wiggles, and allows fumes to escape into your eyes. Tearing eyes will ruin your service or create eye pad shifts which causes red eyes or bruised eyeballs. This takes about 2 days to clear.

No Gum, Caffeine, Phone Calls

Caffeine causes fluttery eyes and makes lashing not only difficult, but sometimes impossible! Please put your phones on silent as well, you will NOT be able to open your eyes once the service has started and we will not read to you who is calling or messaging you as this often results us running into another clients appointment.

Before The Appointment

Remember to eat (you will get hungry), use the restroom before you lay down, and bring something warm! Sleeping and snoring are very welcome!!

Communication

We do not accept any phone calls or WhatsApp calls. We will respond to all WhatsApp messages or emails within 24 hours. Unfortunately, we do not answer any Instagram DMs/calls.

Health & Safety

Lash Integrity

Your natural lash health is our top priority! This means that we will only place extensions that are the appropriate weight and length for your lashes and aesthetically pleasing for your bone structure. Many times this is not what you are used to from previous artists. Sometimes we have to choose between long or full. Long AND full is just not everyone's reality. Please respect this!

Allergies

A patch test can be administered prior to the appointment. Simply WhatsApp or email us with this request. Refunds are not given for allergic reactions. We will remove the lashes free of charge. Eyelash adhesives contain cyanoacrylates. In dryer season, the adhesive will take longer to cure therefore exposure to fumes and irritants is higher.

Medical Confirmations

By booking, you confirm that you will remove any contact lenses before your appointment, and none of the following apply to you: Skin condition around eye area (Eczema, Dermatitis, Psoriasis, etc.), Any eye surgery (within the last 6 months), Conjunctivitis, A recent eye infection, Cataracts, Diabetic Retinopathy, Alopecia, Hordeolum / styes, Hay Fever, Watery Eye, Blepharitis, Corneal Disease, or Dry Eye Syndrome.

Reactions

Although all products and equipment that we use are of the quality expected of a beautician exercising a reasonable standard of care, it is possible that you may have an individual reaction to products used in the treatment. Reactions can include but are not limited to: Swollen puffy eyes, Redness around eyes, Flaky skin around eyes, Itchy dry skin. You acknowledge that Lashcore cannot be held liable or responsible if such reaction does occur.

Guarantees & Aftercare

Refunds & 2-Day Retention

There are no refunds on any services. If you are having any issues after your service with retention, please let us know within 2 DAYS. We will make any changes for free as long as you come see us within two days from your appointment (we can work around hours). This is your window!

Refills

A refill rate will only be offered if the client returns within three (3) weeks and has at least half of the lashes remaining, anything less than half will be charged at the rate of a full-set. In addition, we do not often refill work other than our own. If you are currently wearing eyelashes that are not our work, please book in for a removal first or alternatively we will be able to assess to see if it can still be done.

Aftercare Rules

We have an entire list of aftercare, safe to use products, and big eyelash no no's that we explain after each eyelash service. Please read it! By booking with us you are agreeing to follow these rules.

Student Deposits

All courses are confirmed with 50% deposits via EFT one week prior training. The balance is due 1 day before the training date. Payments can be split up monthly. Contact us to arrange a payment plan.
